Custom software shaped around how you work
Off-the-shelf software forces your business into someone else’s process. We turn that around: we look at how the work actually happens, and build the system around it.
When it pays off
Custom software costs more than a subscription. It is worth it when one of these applies to you:
The process lives in spreadsheets
Several files travel back and forth by email, and nobody is quite sure which one is current.
The same data is typed in repeatedly
One order ends up in the order book, the delivery note and the invoice — by hand each time, with a chance of error each time.
The off-the-shelf tool fits seventy percent
And the remaining thirty percent costs hours every week in workarounds nobody has written down.
Growth has hit a wall
What worked with five people breaks at fifteen — because the process lives in a few individuals’ heads.
What you get
Not just an application, but everything you need to work independently with it.
One system instead of many tools
Orders, customers, inventory, time tracking and invoicing connect. One entry triggers every downstream step.
Roles and permissions
Everyone sees what their work requires and nothing beyond it. Once payroll or customer data is involved, that stops being optional.
Reporting you can decide on
Utilisation, outstanding items, lead times. Numbers that hold up because they come from live operations rather than from a later reconciliation.
Interfaces to the outside
Accounting, web shop, point-of-sale, shipping providers — connected rather than retyped.
Documentation and full handover
Source code, database schema and operating manual are yours — including if you later have someone else take it forward.
Typical projects
So you get a sense of the scale involved.
Job management for trades
From enquiry through scheduling and material planning to the final invoice — including photo documentation straight from site.
Internal platform for recurring workflows
Approvals, checks and evidence handled digitally instead of on paper, with a traceable history for audits.
Sector solution with no standard product
Applications for processes no product on the market covers — the classic case for building your own.
Common questions
What clients want to know before the first call
Why not just use an off-the-shelf product?
If an off-the-shelf product fits, you should use it — we say that even when it means no work for us. Custom software only pays off once adapting to someone else’s system costs more over time than building your own, or when your process is precisely what sets you apart from competitors.
What happens to the data in our legacy system?
We migrate it. Data migration is part of the project and gets assessed during discovery, because it is frequently more work than expected: old records contain duplicates, gaps and special cases that only surface during the move. We run test migrations before switching anything over for real.
Can we start small?
We actively recommend it. We carve out a first usable slice — usually the workflow that eats the most time — and get that into live use. What gets built next is then decided from real experience rather than on paper.
Who operates the software afterwards?
Either of us. We host inside the EU and handle maintenance, updates and further development — or we hand the system over to your IT entirely. Both paths are designed in from the start, so the decision does not force a rebuild later.
Four areas where we deliver
Walk us through your process
In the intro call we go through your workflow and tell you honestly whether building your own pays off — or whether an off-the-shelf product is the better route.
